Pickens County Resources
cares
CARES provides food, essential non-food items, temporary financial assistance, important education financing, and resource counseling for those in need in Pickens County, Georgia. https://www.facebook.com/PickensCARES/
Collaborations' mission is to help every child and adult that comes through our doors identify and achieve positive life choices as a child-focused, family-oriented mental health treatment agency. North Georgia Pregnancy Center provides individual and family counseling, medical and hospital referral, nutrition assistance, parenting classes, assistance for mothers and infant needs such as: children's clothing, baby furniture, and car seats, and many classes on adoption and parenting. http://ngapregnancy.org/
pickens county school system
The goal of the Pickens County School System is to provide resources for the families of students to better support the learning of children for whom they care. Anyone who is caring for a child in their home is required to enroll the child in school and complete a Kinship Caregiver Affidavit. This form must be notarized and turned in to the school.
